Noémie Allard-Gaudreau holds a PhD in Letters and Social Communication from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (2017–2022), awarded with distinction (“exceptional”) and recipient of the UQTR 2022 Best Thesis Award in Social Sciences and Humanities. She also received the ADÉSAQ Excellence Award in Social Sciences, Arts, and Letters. Previously, she completed a Master’s degree in Letters and Social Communication (2015–2017), with distinction (“excellent”), and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Communication (2011–2014) from the same institution.
Currently, Noémie Allard-Gaudreau is pursuing a postdoctoral fellowship in Criminology at Université Laval (2024–2025), supported by a Faculty of Social Sciences scholarship and additional funding from the CICC. She also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Psychology at the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue (2022–2024), funded by SSHRC and FRQSC.
She is a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre international de criminologie comparée (CICC) at Université de Montréal and a founding member and regular researcher at the Groupe de recherche interuniversitaire de linguistique légale (GRILL). Additionally, she has been affiliated with the Centre de recherche interuniversitaire sur le français en usage au Québec (CRIFUQ) and the Centre de recherche interdisciplinaire sur les problèmes conjugaux et les agressions sexuelles (CRIPCAS).
Her research lies at the intersection of criminology, social communication, and forensic linguistics, with a particular focus on interdisciplinary issues addressing contemporary social challenges.
