Jean Proulx

Full professor at the School of Criminology at the Université de Montréal, Jean Proulx is also a regular researcher at the Pôle d'expertise et de recherche en santé et bien-être des hommes and a clinical psychologist and regular researcher at the Philippe Pinel Institute of Forensic Psychiatry. His research interests include sexual offenders, criminal careers, recidivism, sexual murder, quantitative methodology, phallometry, pedophilia, and sexual sadism. He is also the head of the Groupe de recherche sur les agresseurs sexuels (GRAS), a research group that focuses on the process of offending and the recidivism of sexual offenders, as well as the treatment of these individuals.

Jean Proulx gave a lecture as part of the interdisciplinary symposium "Violence, Health, and Society: Complex Connections to be Unraveled" in May 2017.
