Marion Vacheret (UdeM)

Marion Vacheret is a Full Professor at the School of Criminology at the Université de Montréal and President of the Quebec Society of Criminology.
She is also a researcher at the Public Law Research Centre. Marion Vacheret's research focuses primarily on the penal institution as well as on Canadian penal policies and practices. Her work specifically examines the experiences of actors within legal and penal organizations; the correctional and community supervision of judicialized individuals; the meaning of social reintegration, and the functions of punishment. She is also involved in the Access to Justice (ADAJ) project, which brings together around sixty researchers interested in the relationships between citizens and the legal world.
