Pablo Madriaza-Manríquez holds a PhD in Sociology from Université Paris Descartes (2017), completed under the supervision of Danilo Martuccelli. His doctoral dissertation, titled "The Revolt of Individuals: The New Contestatory Ethics of Social Movements in Chile (2006–2012)", examined the emerging ethics within Chilean social movements. He also earned a research master's degree in Sociology from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris (2011), under the supervision of François Dubet, and a master's degree in Anthropology from the University of Chile (2007), focusing on the social meaning of school violence.
His research and teaching activities focus on the prevention of radicalization and violent extremism, social and school-related violence, and public policies addressing violence prevention and social interventions. A professor at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières since 2024, he has also served as the Scientific Coordinator for the UNESCO Chair in the Prevention of Radicalization and Violent Extremism. His work is grounded in interdisciplinary approaches and diverse methodologies to investigate the dynamics of violence and the development of socially responsive interventions.
